The Role:

We are looking to recruit a part time professional support lawyer (for 3 or 4 days a week) to help develop the profile of this white collar crime practice.

This team advises on all aspects of corporate criminal liability including money laundering, tax investigations, cartels and bribery and corruption. They also advise on fraud and other offences committed by company officers or staff. They represent clients in investigations and in criminal proceedings including extradition applications.

Candidates ideally should be an experienced white collar crime solicitor or barrister with 3+ years’ PQE (or equivalent). Alternatively, it may suit a legal journalist. The role would include:

• Editing and writing content for this firm’s regular White Collar Crime bulletin to clients;

• Working with other members of the white collar crime team on content for other publications, e.g. their monthly slot for In House Lawyer magazine;

• Providing support on white collar crime related projects, e.g. client surveys;

• Assisting in the preparation of materials for client talks/presentations on white collar crime issues;

• Generating ideas for practice development initiatives/products;

• Acting as co-ordinator for the London white collar crime group;

• Collating know how for the white collar crime team, building up an appropriate databank and identifying need for/producing best practice materials; and

• Identifying training needs/opportunities and arranging sessions as appropriate.

Excellent academics are a pre-requisite, as is a highly motivated “self-starting” and team focused approach.
